Here's a sampling of some the most popular nonsurgical cosmetic procedures offered through The Everett Clinic. Prices are per visit.

Filler injections ($450 to $2,000): Improve facial lines, wrinkles and scars by replenishing the layers beneath your skin. Fillers can be used to enhance thin lips and to fill in facial lines for a younger refreshed look. Common fillers include Restylane and Radiesse. Effects of many fillers typically last six months, but some patients have reported lasting effects for up to two years.

Botox ($375 to $900): Reduce and soften the look of facial wrinkles, worry lines, frown lines, laugh lines and crow's-feet. Effects last about four months.

Chemical peels ($70 to $750): Improve skin texture and tone using medical-grade chemical solutions.

Deputy fatally shoots man in Clackamas

CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore. - A Clackamas County Sheriff's deputy fatally shot a man Saturday night after the man allegedly pulled out a handgun in a "life-threatening fashion" following a vehicle chase that ended in a school parking lot, the sheriff's office said.

The man killed was identified as 31-year-old Aaron Damien Ganon of Clackamas.

It all started about 11 p.m. when deputies were dispatched to a report of a man with a gun at the Twin Creek Apartments at 11500 S.E. Sunnyside Road in Clackamas, said Detective Jim Strovink, a sheriff's office spokesman.

Ganon's wife, Ofelia, said he came to the complex hoping to get back together with her and their three kids. She refused, she said, and called 911 because she was worried he would hurt himself.

Many Brazilians settling in N.O., but for how long?

A little more than two years ago, Marcos Pereira, a Brazilian carpenter living in suburban Boston, saw the televised images beaming out of a devastated New Orleans. And in the images he glimpsed opportunity.

Kissing his reluctant wife and two daughters goodbye, Pereira loaded his tools into a van and drove alone to New Orleans. He took a motel room in Luling and commuted daily into the city, where he found steady work for months -- far more than he had been seeing back in Somerville, Mass., where times were slow.

Today Pereira, 40, is a New Orleanian, planting roots in a new home. Three months ago he ended once-a-month visits back to Massachusetts and summoned his wife, Jackeline, and two daughters, Fernanda, 9, and Leticia, 5. They rent a house in Metairie and hope to buy.

Chelsea's Quiet Pitch for Her Mom

Chelsea Clinton has no trouble talking, as it turns out, though she doesn't seem to enjoy it much. The former First Kid took audience questions for nearly an hour at a small campaign event today at the University of Maryland, where she was articulate, knowledgeable and almost completely without affect.

There's a reason most people have never heard her voice; at a campaign rally in Utah on Jan. 29, Chelsea told the crowd she'd never spoken in public before, and "I'm feeling a little bit intimidated about that.'' She did not seem particularly nervous in front of a couple of hundred people on the campus in College Park, but rarely smiled as she reeled off the details of her mother's campaign proposals in a soft near-monotone.

On a makeshift stage in the student union's lower level food court, she said hello and made just one point about her mom—briefly pitching her as a fiscal conservative—before going straight to the Q & A.

Under the Hood With Knight Rider 2.0: Trans Am vs. Ford Mustang ...

Times change people and with changing times comes new ideas. And crying over the new KITT absolutley ludicrous. IT'S NOT REAL PEOPLE!! The mustang is a PERFECT choice for the new KITT not only because of styling but also because of it's availibility. The Trans Am was discontinued in 2002 for good reason. It's popularity had sunk so low that GM had no alternative. Same story w/ the Camaro, not to mention they're pieces of crap. As for the corvette, yes it's still a popular, mass-produced, vehicle. But do you think NBC is gonna shell money for 10 corvettes or however many they'd go thru in a show? Much less a season? I highly doubt it. Fact is NBC made a decision and they're sticking w/ it. You wanna change it? Become a network president and change it. If not, quit crying about it. Because as many of you "purists" there are, there's a lot more people out there who are gonna want to check the new continuation of the show who watched the show when they were kids, and their kids are gonna watch and the newer version of the same rollercoaster ride is going to be as good if not better than the 1st.
